Forest Bathing and Sound Healing: Summer Solstice Celebration
Celebrate the summer solstice during this special event!
Time & Location
Jun 22, 2024, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Rockefeller State Park Preserve, 125 Phelps Way, Pleasantville, NY 10570, USA
About the event
Enjoy a mindful stroll in the woods and connect with nature through sensory exploration inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, “forest bathing”.
This journey will lead you to the Glacial Erratic for a restorative sound healing experience where crystal singing bowls, chimes, and a variety of soothing instruments will guide your relaxation. Finish with herbal tea under the trees as you take a moment to reflect.
The walk is 1 mile round trip. Meet in the Visitor’s Center courtyard. Please arrive 10 minutes early.
Blankets and seat cushions will be provided but if you’d prefer to lay down for the sound healing, you may want to bring a yoga mat. Insect repellent is advised.
No dogs please.
In case of bad weather, the program may be postponed to Sunday, June 23; you will be notified by 5 pm the day prior.
Max: 30 people. Ages 18+.
Parking: $6 per vehicle
