About the event
The natural world is bracing for Winter. Animals that do not remain active for winter are entering dormancy and hibernation. What a perfect time to slow down and connect to that still place we all have inside us, underneath the busy routine of modern day life.
Join our forest community and experience the connection to self, to nature and to a community. Despite being more connected by technology, we have never been more disconnected from each other. Human connection and nature connection are essential to our health.
Still not enough to get you there? Okay. Research proves that being in nature decreases your cortisol levels (stress hormone), reduces blood pressure, boosts natural killer cells (immune system), improves your cognitive function, and gives you an elevated sense of well-being. I have yet to meet a vitamin that can do all of that!
The weather fluctuates and can make many of us want to stay inside on those cold and wet days. All you have to do is show up in weather appropriate clothing. We provide warm blankets, foam seat cushions and hot seasonal teas for your time in the forest.
